What is Crossfit?

CrossFit is for everyone. It’s an approach to training that takes different aspects of fitness and combines them into one highly effective programme. We’ll teach you gymnastics, Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting; you’ll run, jump, row and carry. Our programming is heavily biased toward “functional” movements, so our workouts pay dividends every single day. And no two workouts will look the same. Our brilliant coaches will be on hand to keep you moving well, and safely, right from your very first session.

Sarah Macdonald

CFH Coach, CF-L3

Sarah is the owner of CrossFit Haddington. Originally from Atlanta, GA, Sarah has been coaching for over 20 years and is a former NCAA Division 1 softball player. Having become a CrossFit Level 3 Trainer in 2018, she and her family founded CrossFit Haddington in May 2019. Her first ever CrossFit workout was “Murph”; her favourite is “Grace”.

Kim Hughes

CFH Coach, CF-L2

Kim is Head Coach at CrossFit Haddington. She has been a CrossFit Coach since 2019 having taken up the sport in 2013. She qualified as a physical education teacher at the University of Edinburgh and has been coaching young people for over 10 years. Away from CrossFit Haddington, Kim is a keen horse rider and hockey player. Her first CrossFit WoD was eight intervals of an 800m run; her favourite is “Mary”.

Agata Herbert

CFH Coach, CF-L1

Agata started Crossfit in 2013, a year after moving to the UK from her native Poland. Five years later, in 2018, she got her CrossFit L1 certification and has been coaching ever since. Her favourite WODs are Heavy Grace and Heavy Isabel which is fitting given her love for weightlifting. She is dedicated to training, competing in and coaching Crossfit and Weightlifting, but away from the gym she enjoys architecture, motorcycling, scuba diving and playing guitar!

CFH STANDARD MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP

Our CFH Standard Monthly Membership -  this membership gives you access to all group classes and open gym!

2 SESSIONS PER WEEK MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP

Access to 2 group classes per week (9 sessions total per month). These sessions can be used however you wish throughout the month.

STANDARD PLUS MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP

This is a tailored monthly membership to help you achieve your goals. To do this, Standard Plus members will receive an initial diagnostics session with your coach to identify your needs and create a plan to reach your goals. You’ll also get tailored nutrition programming and coaching, weekly check-ins to stay on track with fitness and nutrition goals, and you’ll have access to personal training sessions each month.

CROSSFIT ONE-TO-ONE SESSIONS

These sessions are customised to you. Your coach will have an initial consultation with you to assess your goals and what you would like to achieve. From there, we help you work through a plan to progress you forward to reaching your goals. Please contact us for One-to-One Pack Options and Rates. Let’s get started and dive into what’s possible!

NUTRITION

Nutrition is the foundation of our wellness and performance. CFH Nutrition Coaching is about making small weekly shifts toward a healthier lifestyle. It isn’t restrictive, nor is it about sweeping changes that are difficult to maintain. Instead, we build small life changing habits that lead to results that last. We tailor the programme specific to your needs and goals and coach you the whole way through. Your initial consultation is free and then we move forward with a plan that best suits you, your lifestyle, and needs.

Team training

CrossFit is being used by some of the highest performing sports teams in the world: from the All Blacks journal.crossfit.com/2010/03/owen-franks.tpl to international footballers. We offer bespoke Strength and Conditioning programmes for teams that will take youto the next level. Become fitter, stronger, faster, and more explosive. We do this through games, interactive teaching of the foundational movements, WoDs that incorporate what’s been learned, and nutrition and wellbeing education.

CFH Kids

CrossFit sessions designed specifically for kids that build a foundation for a love of fitness and sport from a young age. CFH Masters
